Got the call...probably didn't want to tell me...I did much better this year (statistically ) but pool is down so 10% bonus cut year over year and 1.5% raise....disappointing but not fired..

sorry OP misread your post, you said comp call is in the AM. Still, it's the last possible day.

displacement calls happen in the morning. don't worry about that.

For some reason, your boss has chosen to do your comp call the last possible moment before the deadline. I can tell you for sure that every bit of comms to managers re comp discussions tells managers to have these convos as early/quickly as possible once the numbers are released. Were they OOO? Were you OOO? If not, just plain weird and not good management to delay to the last minute.

Displacement meetings are usually not scheduled this far in advance but more likely the day of or maybe very late the night before next am.

Would also be unprofessional and unnecessary to title it as comp call - if your mgr did that for a displacement meeting.

Don't listen to the fearmongerers.

Your mgr is just a j.ë.r.k. for waiting so long and not caring that making you wait through the weekend is nervewracking.

Yep. I’ve been displaced. A couple years ago, the only thing is the phone call was with someone else, not my manager. Best of luck to you.

Tuesday is Jan 30, and the last day to do the review before the system releases it. If your manager didn’t do your review yet or share your numbers, that’s just waiting until the end. Don’t let people here scare you.

Displacement calls usually happen in the morning. Hopefully, the late meeting is due to your manager's procrastination.

No one on our team has had their comp discussion yet and manager was slow on performance reviews too. Some managers don't prioritize these things (even though they should since this is actually what employees care about). I wouldn't read into it too much.

Normally displacements happen the Tuesday after payday. Is that this week?

Same boat. 6 years at wells always got comp on that Wednesday of approval… this year it’s on a Monday.
