Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

How many were laid off so far this year?

January is not even over and we know about several small rounds that took place already this year. And that's only the ones we know because people from those groups post here. Who knows how many happened that we don't even know about. This is going to be the worst year yet since Charlie took over.

"These are not layoffs - they are "separations". The obfuscation and double talk from management is insulting."

Um, no. They are 'displacements'.

FYI, I was 'displaced', to a better place.

Yeah, it's the shills and useful id--ts that are defending Hudson Yards' treachery. Those of us speaking the truth don't need to be defensive about it. It's the right thing to do and nothing changes that fact. If you can't do what you do with transparency and honesty, you're not doing the right thing and worse, you know it. This executive team is a complete failure on every level.

It does matter, because even among the victims there are people who continue to doubt that it's even happening on the scale it's happening. Every single time info about a wave is posted, multiple people post up saying it didn't. Every time. I don't know if they are shills payed to sweep the history under the rug, or they are just Kool aid drinkers, but either way it's shameful behavior. If the company doesn't want people to know they are doing something (like massive layoffs), maybe they shouldn't be doing them.

5 years and still the asset cap remains along with the consent decrees. Now we are the only large bank with a union presence. Layoffs are what incompetent folks do rather than just dissolve this shameful excuse for a bank. Charlie Scharf and his team should be fired.

Does it really matter how many unfortunate co-workers have lost their jobs this year? It's a well known fact that the big banks are laying off large numbers of people and this will continue for the next few years. Scorecards are not necessary are they?
