Didn't we pay off the debt when we spun off DirecTV and Warner Bros?

2023 ATT had 16B in free cash flow.

How many times does 16B go into 191B?

It would take ATT 12 years spending 100% of its Free Cash Flow to get out of the hole it’s in.

It is going to take more than a few folks to "Live their Designation" to pay off Randy's and Stankey's debt.

The Three Stooges who indebted AT&T….Randy, the Stink and John Stephen’s must be held personally responsible for their gross negligence. So why haven’t any shareholder suits been brought? Uncle Larry protects the Stooges.

Our CEO will leave that for the next guy rather than pay it down. Randall spent like it wasn’t real money. He put himself in front of the shareholder once he got the board paid off

When they went after T-Mob, I had thought, well certainly they had done their due diligence to see if the Administration was favorable to that merger - they did NOT and the Administration WAS NOT... Plus the extra - by some accounts up to $10B to T-Mob as the breakup fee...Brilliant!

When they went after DTV, as cord-cutting was hitting its peak, the reason Randall gave at the time, on a Town Hall, was that the company needed the 'TV subscriber count' additions from DTV because they weren't getting favorable rates with the small amount of U-Verse TV subscribers...And I thought, well, certainly, at the time AT&T had about 100m wireless subscribers, would it not be pretty simple to get an app out there for phones and tablets, linked to U-verse TV, and instantly "BAMM - Now look at how many subs we have? What's our rate now?" But of course, they didn't do that, until after buying TW. Brilliant.

And with the TW deal, the reason was to expand the company, and with that one, I thought, well, what I would do in that situation is, keep TW and HBO management and leadership intact and leave them alone, in large part, to work their magic, at least for years until I understood the business, before trying to meddle...(But in my case, I would have let them be, because when SBC was busy buying up wireless markets, that's what they did, they largely left the markets alone, as long as they were making money and sending the profits to San Antonio (at the time) Brilliant.

But did these folks pay the price for these massive mistakes? Nope, just the tens and tens and tens of thousands of workers...

Hey, at least we’re number 1 at something!

And they gave the guy who did it millions of dollars!

Could you imagine ruining a monopoly and spending so much in failed acquisitions that your company now has more debt than any other company in the entire country?

Losers!

The debt is just another piece of evidence, perhaps the most import piece, that the Ratty and Stinky deserve the top two spots on the CEO Wall of Shame! They worked hard to win the stupid prize was the worst two CEO's in history!

My financial management professor said that had anyone looked at the Cash Flow statement of ENRON, TYCO, and Worldcom they would have instantly known companies were in trouble. When the 2023 financials are released tomorrow look at the Cash Flow statement. It will tell you exactly how well AT&T performed over the year. Ask the questions of where the money came from and where did it go. The balance sheets are nothing more than a snapshot of the companies portfolio and are only used for show and tell.
