Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Coffee Badging

Didn't realized there was a term for what many of us do.

The directive, straight from the CEO of the company, is to 'collaborate around the water cooler' and how it's critical to the future of the company. Not sure why you're dismissing the most important element of work, as defined by executive management...but ip/activity data doesn't catch that.

"come in late morning and leave mid-afternoon. I get six figures for a part time job".

"And you feel good about posting this?
Such a dirt-bag!"

Why is this poster a dirtbag? For posting the result of a failing RTO policy that doesn't achieve what it was meant to do? The poster is merely stating what the reality is for him/her and for many others. Myself included. Also, feeling good about posting has nothing to do with it. Apparently, for you it does.

Heard rumors they are starting to track things more. Can you elaborate on what you are seeing on reports (ex. if you are on a meeting listening but not typing, is that considered inactive? Can they see the sites or applications people are accessing every hour of the day)?

To be fair, as a VP I’ve been presented computer use data for the teams under me, IP hits and inactive time - the vast majority of employees are doing nothing just around half the day. Almost all WF employees actually work part time

Why do anything different when they are forcing people to come in when they have literally no other teammates on their team in the same office. Waste of time and money in commuting in a lot of cases.

I do this literally 3 times a week. Come in, eat my breakfast, leave. I have zero team members in my location so it's just silly to have to come in and sit by myself. I still work a full day just 90% of it is at home.

Assinine policies will always lead to stuff like this. I encourage it. Viva la Resistance.

VP here. Do it all the time. Usually just log in when I get ready for the day and come in late morning and leave mid-afternoon. I get paid six figures for a part time job.
