Heard this from colleague. Is it true?

I think some of you are missing the point of closing Concord. It’s not to relocate everyone to SF or Oak. It’s to provide a reason to eliminate the positions and lay people off. Timeline is probably 1 to 2 years but anyone in CA should not delude themselves. Like Oregon there may be a few key departments left but not many.
They just sent 350ish people from San Leandro to Concord. What would they do that if it was closing.
Concord is done.
Pretent you heard nothing and seen nothing. They say ignorance is a bliss.
Knock off the lies. Concord isn't going anywhere for the foreseeable future. Why would they push people to SF? Concord real estate is about half as much as SF.
If anything, they'll be getting rid of real rate in SF.
Concord is going to be closed and employees will be either layedoff or asked to move to San Francisco. The building owners are in negotiation to try to sell the building.
@1pey+1qBSZ2K6 WF has spent lots of money on upgrades only to exit quickly.....
a new tenant in the suite will enjoy the upgrade
If RTO goes to 4, it's just a move to get people to quit and save WFC some money before axing the rest. Concord and Portland have no future at WF.
I mean this has been discussed for literally 5 years. No news here.
The lease was just renewed and office tech just upgraded. Folks here not going anywhere and expect RTO 4 days. Please prove me wrong.
If you ran a business and didn't have to do it in California...
No reason for WF to stay in California as New York is the superior blue state when it comes to finance.
Gonna be working in the slums of Oakland getting shanked on the BART, have hella fun u nor callers.
True but slowly, so you have six months to one-year time. Defiantly it is not a safe location.
If true, the increased commute time to SF is one reason to quit.
All signs strongly point in that direction.
I think the lease is up Jan 2026
WF is hiring for 2 roles in Concord, and one is retail. Sure sign that it's going to be shut down sooner vs later.
Probably, but the track record of getting out of cali locations isn't the best so you have time.
Depends on what LOB. Each LOB/org has their own main hub/specialty market map.
wouldn't surprise me but that's a lot of people logistics to figure out first.
Not true...for now
So Concord staff will have to go to SF office, until the SF office closes?
Confirmed (true).
Not true.
