They have absolute control. You know what causes it, right? Or have public schools finally completely failed? Alrighty then. Also, stay out of TX, we're full and glad you don't want to come.

Nice to see a g-y man forcing people to move to a state that makes laws against the LGBTQ community and wants women to have no control over their reproductive healthcare decisions.

Good. Doing the minimum, innovating nothing, shooting down good ideas, and patiently waiting for severance is what makes me happy. F Shart and his bootlickers.

No news here, just business as usual in today's U.S. workplace.

Corporations make the policies. Employees follow the policies. Employees that don't like any corporate policies are at liberty to do anything they wish, to make themselves happy.

Not a mystery at all.

Standard corporate MO. Force people to RTO so you can turn around and claim they "have" to move across the country. If you do, they'll just term you anyway and begrudgingly pay the severance.

Praising a company for a decision affecting an extreme minority and using it to attempt to vilify a separate company for navigating a 50k layoff, neither of which would you have any intimate knowledge of the plans for, is laughable. There is no way the majority at WF would be happy with any solution provided.

The press should be talking more about failure of CEOs in their hiring practices, when they "have" to lay off tens of thousands of workers in condensed time period.

CEOs know there are cycles in the market, interest rates, etc. And they should be taking significant haircuts to their own compensation along w/slashing jobs.

Prior to the 90s, CEOs weren't making exorbitant salaries w/outrageous bonuses and they often didn't take salary or bonuses when times were challenging.

A major shift occurred and now all CEOs are entitled, untouchable kings.

Apple didn't need to take 5-6 years to make that decision.

Let's go WF, commit to a plan and execute it, for goodness sake.

Apple moving a few employees out of one of the most expensive cities in America. Shocking.

most of what we complain about here is like that - it's just life in a large corporation. Some are a bit better and some are a bit worse on a day-to-day basis but no matter what the PR hype is that they put forward about how they view employees... when it comes to $$, that's all it's ever about. People are expendable and replaceable.
