How will jobs in India affect customer service internally and externally? Won’t the time difference be a problem?

Overseas staff giving tax information based on US tax code has been wrong. We need to do better.

Yo Douchey McDouche the OP said internal and external and we have internal people in India handling service calls. Tell me you don’t understand internal customer service without saying it. What a condescending A$$ h0le.
OP clearly says internal and external customers. There are plenty of India team members working ops jobs (just had like 6 in my morning huddle), so anyone they interact with internally is their customer.
And yes, my paranoia is that they are there to start to learn my job so that they can fill in when people on my team are laid off.
Philepens have no issue working night shift to match east coast time.
India won't so depending on the support levels tneeded he rewill be an issue but the talking heads above us think they are the smartest people in the room and the time issue is a non-issue because they believe it.
Hudson Yards doesn't care, so long as they are cheap.
We have plenty of India/Phl people working US hours.
The only real difference is offshore asks almost no questions when being assigned work. Assumptions are made and if something bad happens, they are quick to recover. Gone are the days of understanding context or planning, designing, bouncing ideas. It's now all very task heavy, each day is busy for busy work's sake. US side is adopting this approach as a pseudo-Agile thing.
Very challenging to be a US worker experiencing such a drastic sea change in the nature of work.
Communication will suffer; work quality will suffer, etc.

WF doesn't care about US employees, much less customers.
I'm switching to Chase from WF. Chase has better training. WF's Indian employees don't understand questions. A CFPB complaint may be necessary against WF.
Do you realize that there are companies that run 24 hour ops regardless of where they are located? Time differences affect nothing other than the employee working receiving a shift differential for working an off-shift.
