How management is tracking RTO

We are a small team with no two members working from the same city. Can’t collaborate with anyone even when I go to the office. Curious to know how management is taking RTO mandates?

Question about the flag for not in assigned location? I got this flag even though Iam in the office for the required days. Do they check how long you are in the office or only badge swipes. I think I get this flag when I show up and leave to work from home at lunch time. Anyone else run into this ? I see. A lot of other people come in and out in 2 hours but don’t know if they run into it as well?

Actually I was hired as a full time remote employee. Now they are changing the terms.
Fortunately for me I am top producer on my team and tell them to go take a hike.

Just swipe 3 days a week minus any 4hr pto or holiday, make sure your computer hits the network as well just in case. You'll be able to tell just by what others are doing see how long you actually need to be there.

you signed up for it when you took a job at WF. if you don't like your hours then talk to your manager or find a job with a better schedule

all managers received a FAQ communication a few months back regarding this. talk to your manager. badge swipe or network login account as in office day. 4 or more hours of PTO count as in office, holiday counts as in office, hotels booked in concur for employee travel count as days. there is a flag showing if you are at a non assigned location > 50%> week is Sunday through Saturday and dashboard updated weekly and shows a rolling 13 weeks of activity.

This just proves how bad the communication is around RTO. Everyone has heard something different and there’s no place to look at a policy. I would love to know how they are calculating the time in office. For example, what if you badge out and sit with a colleague at the outdoor tables to have a meeting then badge back in and then badge out to leave? Do they really catch the last swipe out?

This is just a way for Wells to prop up the commercial real estate market so the smaller companies don’t default on their loans. It is a purely selfish maneuver.

Wells is also doing everything it can to destroy the middle class, soon enough the CRE will be a non issue.

If I remember correctly, it's average of 3 days per week over 30 days or something like that. They track badge swipes and rumor has it they can also check on how your signed into the network (e.g. not gaming the system and working home home while having somebody swipe badge for you).

I'm in the same boat. Everybody on my team including my manager is in a different city. It's pretty much pointless for me to go in the office since I'm always on teams when interacting with them. My manager seems to agree but he's been given orders and supposedly HR is monitoring as well.

The whole concept is stupid.

Just wait until we go 4/1 after the first of the year. My manager said they heard it being discussed from Upper levels. He is adamant against it as he drives a long distance himself.

Badge swipes in and out. There is a report given to management. If you have to met the stupid "expectation" of 3 days/wk, your manager will talk to you. PTO counts as an in office day.

If you fail to average the required weekly attendance over 12 weeks your manager will receive notice that they have to meet with you to discuss the in office expectations and they are required to document this in a Workday performance review check-in.

Please, just go into the office so you can collaborate with India via video conference, at a time that is convenient for our wonderful international colleagues (err, I mean “third party” vendors) explain your job activities in elementary level detail (over and over) and let’s call it a day.

Or, or, hear me out, or just ask your one or two up! I know, novel idea to actually ask your own leadership vs a board full of anons who undoubtedly have the standard applied differently but you will actually learn something.

Leadership in my group honestly doesn’t even bother to pay lip service to the “collaboration” farce anymore. They basically just say “it’s been made clear that the expectations are in office 3 days a week so that’s what we’ve got to do”, and leave it at that.

Your inability to collaborate in person doesn’t matter from an RTO reporting perspective. Your LOB has provided you with their requirements, and that’s what you do. What else are you looking for?

Charlie wants you to collaborate with the Cafeteria cook, indulge in water cooler talk and so on.

It’s been explained ad nauseam on here already, just do a search and read one of the old posts.
