I recently happened to overhear a conversation between an HR executive and another executive in my office building. It was mentioned that if you are not assigned to a hub location, you will be among the first ones to be let go. Unfortunately, this also applies to remote workers. Furthermore, if you fail to go to your assigned location, you will be next in line for dismissal. There will be no exceptions or negotiations. Additionally, those who need improvement will also face termination. However, it is important to note that these measures are only applicable to areas that are being considered for cuts. It seems that not every department will experience layoffs. Some departments may have a reduction of 25-40%, while others may not have any cuts at all.

Non-remote aren't welcome here either. Hyderabad, Manila, and Hudson Yards will be the only hubs. That's the long term plan.
FWA is flexible work arrangement. Workday will show end dates if someone isn't permanently remote. One more way to highlight that remote is on the way out.
FWA?
What is FWA in workday?
I’ve heard directly from a reliable source that the goal is to eliminate remote workers in the next 1 to2 years
Believe it. HR just dropped a big clue in managers inboxes about how to see FWA of their team in Workday.
Yes, I heard 2 Generals talking war strategy!! You couldn’t come up with something more creative?
Nothing is safe any more even if one works in a hub and you don't kiss A you are gone
“Overheard two executives”… LOL. Nice try.
Still waiting to be the 100% remote employee who is let go. They've been threatening it for years.
Every town hall recently has basically said remote employees who are not near a hub are quite simply not in WF’s future. May be in Q1 or in December 2025, who knows but remote isn’t welcome here anymore.
Never happened
This has been going on in Tracey’s world, none of this is new for Tech.
The trolls are working overtime today to get a rise out of people.
You'd never 'overheard' two executives discussing terminations you dimwit. Are you new here?
Laid off not terminated. For those saying it was a long conversation to overhear, it was heard in less than 3 minutes.
CS.and HR need to stop w/propoganda on this site.
Their posts are so transparent.
Termination meaning fired or laid off?
voices in your head don’t count, OP.
And very detailed for overhearing
Sure, Jan
It's not too difficult to overhear conversations in these low-rise cubicle farms. Conference rooms are not sound-proof either. I've heard too many conversations about my cubemates cat. I tend to believe what the OP is saying given the number of times I've heard from my managers and co-workers in the know. It's coming. I'm just glad I'll get my bonus before it happens.
That's a long conversation you heard.
