Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Layoffs planned for 11/6

I know for a FACT that huge org changes (including layoffs) are being announced next Monday 11/6. It’s being called Bloody Monday by those in the know.

Is it going to be waves or all at once on Monday?

My leaders have told us basically nothing. The way this has been handled, dragged on for so long with no real communication, is some of the worst sh-t I’ve seen from a company. Rip the bandaid off and be done with it. In classic Truist fashion, they announce layoffs but take forever to do them. Has the bank ever done anything in a timely manner?

Will the a--hats that came up with the name Truist be canned? That was the first sign of idiocy.

For the individual asking about which orgs, I’m in Bender’s org, multiple folks confirmed this for our world. We span FL/GA/NC/SC/VA, essentially the entire footprint.

In terms of the level of impact, full scale design changes (supposedly), with a lot of high paid folks being informed of their release or retention.

Yeah I’ve heard the same. Curious to see which parts of the overall Truist umbrella get hit. Truist HQ, downtown ATL, CIB, insurance, field, etc. I haven’t heard any rumors on who may be hit hardest.

Ive heard the same from someone above me, saying they're confident about Monday/Tuesday. So not a definitive answer but its something

I think they will send out invites on Monday whether or not you’re in the office. Most people in my office don’t go in on Monday, so they will likely let people go virtually if need be.

You think they will send out invites Sunday night or make people come to the office to be laid off?
