I know for a FACT that huge org changes (including layoffs) are being announced next Monday 11/6. It’s being called Bloody Monday by those in the know.

McGriff layoffs happening today. Managers scheduling “One on Ones” and then sitting their teammate down in front of a conference call with HR.
How are people being let go? Our big manager set up a call for the department. Should I be worried?
There FACT was not wrong, people on my team were let go today.
Well, your FACT was wrong. Just another troll.
Does anyone know if employees below the management level in Benders org will be affected this week?
Anyone get any more intel over the weekend about how tomorrow/this week will play out?
I won't be sleeping tonight either, but I haven't been sleeping since the Sept 11th announcement. If this is true BEST OF LUCK to all of us this week! Fingers crossed 🤞!
Wholesale Payments layoffs this week! Thoughts and prayers for all
No chance I’m sleeping tonight. How did they do the last round of layoffs? Meeting invites sent early in the morning, calls from out of the blue?
Inside Wholesale banking has an all team meeting with chief of commercial banking Wednesday. Let’s see
I am in Wholesale Pmts and we heard it’s coming this week and again in Jan.

What are your pronouns?
Just stay home on Monday.
Like the branch folks…..who cares?
Actually yes... My LOB EL is off today... hummm......... Does make you wonder?
“ did anyone notice a lack of senior senior leaders in the office today? all told to stay home? Finalizing plans? Something is off”
So… just a thought… this is probably the directive that came down…
“Hey y’all, Monday and Tuesday are going to be filled one on one’s with your people that you’re laying off. Take Friday afternoon off to prepare mentally to ruin lives and families before thanksgiving and Christmas.”
I don't know, I've worked with some smooth brain DEI people at this place.

My guess is 11/6 will be the restructure info and let go higher level folks and then a couple of weeks before Xmas they will lay off the mid level jobs and then the jobs that will be moved to India will be in February.
Yes. 11/6 is “bloody monday” indeed. Wholesale payments and technology layoffs 11/6-11/7
3 waves - 11/6-7, 12/13-14, First week of Feb 2024.

We recommend cutting expenses. We show value by hacking personnel and “flattening” org. We make up words to soften the tone. Transition, Right Size, Transformative, visionary, purpose, etc. Anyone knows consultants in anything are clowns that couldn’t hack it in the real world. I’d like to consult the consultants. You don’t grow by shrinking.
Can u guys go have your slap fight/hissy fit somewhere else?
I suggest a new thread racist vs the woke or something to that effect
Anyone hear anything on how CIB may be impacted?
Diversity isn't a factor here. Rest assured, no amount of diversity or lack of diversity will make the executive team at Truist competent. Incompetence is part of the job descriptions regardless of race, gender, etc. All we've been told in Tech is to expect announcements mid next week, which I took as Wednesday but it could certainly be Monday.
Always so interesting who starts calling people RACIST! and HATER! It is YOU who are the racist. Those under the hoods have a darker complexion. In the 21st century.
"Will the a--hats that came up with the name Truist be canned? That was the first sign of idiocy."
Boston Consulting Group were the a--hats that we paid big money to come up with the name Truist, as well as the design of the new merged organization. Guess who is back doing this most recent redesign (i.e. layoffs) only a couple of years later? No one at the top cares that BCG screwed it up the first time. There are many reasons for this, not least of which is that these large consulting groups advocate (very successfully, I should add) for increased Executive pay, and have done for years (go look up a timeline of executive pay over the last 30 years). They do this because they know that executives will give them work and the cycle goes on and on.

Bill and his right and left hand men, no diversity there, must be ecstatic with the 8.5 % stock price increase and breathing a little easier. They can tell the world the plans working and we’re just getting started. No, diversity is not the main issue, but you’re delusional if you don’t believe ESG and DEI are not issues when it is a stated part of the corporate mantra and results in people in leadership who are like many on EL given jobs they are not qualified to perform and it shows. No I’m not a white male boomer before that nonsense gets thrown around.
@1rkm THANK YOU for saying what most us are thinking!
“ One person thinks that a layoff in their org is relevant to all of Truist, but it’s not.”
What a stupid thing to say. It’s scary and relevant to each individual. This is people’s livelihoods, or their coworkers’, their friends’. It’s a big deal. Losing your job is hard enough, and Truist has made this even worse than it needed to be. Of course everyone wants to know how their specific part of Truist will be impacted.
11/6 layoffs, just the bank side or McGriff also?
Truist is so big that everyone is living in their own small world
One person thinks that a layoff in their org is relevant to all of Truist, but it’s not.
The amount of brain worms it takes to take a situation that is so obviously because leadership is out of their depth managing a merger that never should have happened and made sense to only two guys into diversity being the issue is truly astonishing.
Diversity is our strength is the downfall of western society. Call me racist but you cannot call me wrong.
We heard that the announcements and "actions" start mid next week in Technology, but maybe it's earlier.
Any word on if this is Enterprise wide or just certain groups. I know Retail has sort communicated leadership changes but Wholesale is crickets
Diversity has nothing to do with the state of the bank. You are just a hateful racist incapable of critical thinking.
Speaking of jobs, the last couple of years we seem to have brought in a lot of high paid EVP types from outside the bank. In the name of diversity I’m certain.
Wednesday would make sense for an email outlining the changes (assuming impacted teammates are communicated to first Monday/Tues)
The Wednesday comment is interesting. I’ve been hearing this coming Monday for a few weeks.
