Long time team member here that was let go last year in the early rounds of HUB location layoffs. I was in the CFO/corporate fp&a LOB.
I'm amazed at the level of disfunction described on this board and in the media. How is it in finance these days?

Dysfunction.
Don't ask a stupid question.
Finance’s gauntlet starts 2024-2025. No function is safe
I was in the early round of layoffs from finance last year too. At least I was given a 5 month warning (notified in early May last working day was end of September), then job search leave and severance. From what I understand, most ppl getting laid off now are notified on their last working day.
It started getting a LOT better about a year ago.
Wells Fargo's toxic atmosphere is getting worse each year, and most LOBs are already dysfunctional. Some managers are urinating on an airplane, some managers are committing su----e, some executives are convicted of fraud, I cannot fully describe the magnitude of the toxicity in this space, so why don't you join back Wells Fargo and find out for yourself?
I would say it completely depends on which Finance group and which LOB they support.
