Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

The desperation of working for Fiserv

I hate the feeling of sheer desperation in trying to aid clients each day with no internal support. Every team is completely backlogged and getting pretty hostile with their internal customers. Recipe for disaster, deconversions will be the normal for our future here.

It's amazing that US banks and CUs do not care if their data is managed overseas. They're just as greedy as this company. You the customer are not valued, same as you the employee.

First you're being replaced by India. India teams already working through their night during US day shifts. Hiring fast and furious in Bengaluru. US employees are doomed, prepare yourself.

And everyone will be replaced on shore and off-shore by a clueless AI bot - cheap, no salary or expense at all. See what a wonderful future that would be.

if clients knew they were getting support from someone who has less experience than a cashier they'd flip their lids... if clients are on here... good luck

I feel sorry for the companies that end up buying these failing products. They will have to build a support team from scratch and will be paying the clients penalties for not fulfilling the contractual obligations. Fiserv should be paying the purchasing companies money to take these liabilities off of Fiserv's hands.

Everyone that can actually make things work are being asked to do more and more to make up for deficiencies elsewhere. There is no longer appreciation for doing what needs to be done to keep the lights on, but an expectation that you will sacrifice your time and energy away from work to stop everything from shutting down. And you will get nothing in return. Your hard work is there to lift up management while you get no benefit for bending over backwards to meet near impossible expectations.

The skilled people that don’t have to put up with it are finding work somewhere else and leaving behind fewer and fewer people that can keep this place afloat. The breaking point is inevitable, now. The only question left is which breakdown is going to convince the biggest clients to abandon this mess and when.

Everybody acting like they are here for the long-haul, they are just here to prop things up long enough that they can look good in time for their next big payday opportunity as a “leader”. The only leading they do now is asking for unrealistic accomplishments with no reward, no real direction, and vague flowery language about “team” and “working together”. Good luck to everyone left behind at this place. It’s time to get out while you can.
