Thread regarding Capital One layoffs

Was told by tech management the year end performance calibration templates for self reviews which is on a spreadsheet needs to be completed and submitted to management before by end of October. And if possible submit year end self reviews in Workday too by end of October, even though the HR deadline is 1st week of January 2024.

They're never up to any good just evil. Fire all mid level managers and above and HR teams.

It was Cyber Tech HR management who sent an email about getting calibration templates completed by end of October.

Of course. ALL banks are cut, cut, cut right now. Capital One is good at doing this no matter what the market is like. The Capital One cultural purging on steroids?

So the performance management cycle is actually 4 months each for mid year and end of year. I started my calibration template start of October and will get my review end of January 2024. This means 8 months are spent within the year prepping for reviews. And only 4 months in doing work. Board and all execs need to be fired.

Just received an email from HR. Managers by end of this week need to have preliminary rankings of their direct reports. This is an intentional setup to cut cut cut.

I got a BS within the last 2 years. My manager and I don’t seem to be on the same page on my performance and I wonder if this “accelerated” EOY calibration means that I’ll be laid off earlier than expected.
