Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Executive Leadership Conference

All the top executives are at the Ritz Carlton in Lakeway Texas . Should the name be changed to Stankeyfest .

They probably flew on the private jet from Dallas to save themselves a three hour drive

What a stupid waste of cash! Somehow this bunch of losers seem to think they earned this luxury excursion at the expense of the hard working rank and file. They don't deserve any of this, most could be fired today and the company wouldn't miss a lick! The BOD need to put a stop to these wasteful events. These imbeciles somehow seem to believe these events are their God given right, not hardly the case at all.

Everything has to be a big party when Stankey is involved, just as long as someone else is paying for it. The T employee base gave up bonus and annual increase money to fund these wasteful excursions. Stankey needs to go, NOW!
The worst part is that he turns right around and blames the employees for his failed acquisitions. What a slap in the face.

Loosership by example. With support of the BOD this looser ship team has caused shareholders to loose over $80 billion. They are the laughing stock of America.

It’s a shame the CEO is blaming our low stock value now on the lead cable fiasco, per the 3Q town hall on Thursday.

Our stock was and has been LOW for a LONG time BEFORE the lead cable debacle!

Nothing good will come from this retreat for the rank and file employees.

Must be nice, while the rest of us are getting LAID OFF on a weekly basis!

Enjoy that “collaboration” on the lake.

People getting surplus notices on Monday and the execs spending a $hit ton at a fancy resort. That tracks.

That's how Stankey rolls! Force all employees to scrimp and do without while trying to keep the network running. Then he takes all those savings and throws it down a rathole. Live it up Stankey, I honestly believe your days here are numbered.

this is the exact kind of sh-t that tells us the c-suite is completely out of touch with the people on the ground. this ritz carlton exec mtg could've probably saved a significant amount of jobs.. especially significant to the person who's losing their job due to stankey and co continually making poor financial decisions. REALLY you need to cut jobs to save money but you'll blow it all away at some ritzy resort?

BIG WASTE OF CASH.
Stankey thinks he has changed the world with Q3 results. Don't believe it, remember, his math is extremely fuzzy!

I prefer "Stankeycon".

It's more evocative of what's really happening.

@sef+1pc4RvTF

Thank you for that information.

Such SADNESS!!!!! ALL employees should get a CASH bonus to help offset OUR loses in stock value! Last I checked, we are ALL stockholders.

The stock is low because of ALL the BAD decisions C-Suite has made over the YEARS!
Sad, that THEY get a CASH bonus to make up for THEIR mistakes.
What about the rest of us?

So “we” are suppose to go to the office to “collaborate” but they go offsite to
“Collaborate”, they can’t do it in the office like us ?

Is that a double standard ? Asking for a friend.

What a joke, all employees required to scrimp and save every penny, only to have these id--ts throw money down a rathole. No wonder Stankey is so popular among at&t employees.

“ Why can’t they meet on company premise?”

The office isn’t conducive for THEIR collaboration.

Gee. Just in time. He announced that L3 and above would be given a cash bonus to help offset the losses in stock value… i was so curious about the timing… all makes sense now…

Celebrating mediocre financial numbers, they haven’t lost billions in any acquisitions or dropped the stock lower this quarter so, they deserve a reward. Layoffs will continue for the peasants!

Such a slap in the face to so many who are working on cost reduction. Why can’t they meet on company premise?
