What a monumental waste of time and resources. Could have been a much better and more coordinated process. Just rehashing things and coming up with new ideas on the fly, 5,000 time over all over the “firm” (as they like to say). Poor team members! One thing we could have done right was get rid of all the acronyms that have plagued the bank forever, but no.
Been gone 18 months but I don’t miss Risk. Every time we talked about BACOs in meetings, it make me hungry thinking about bacon.
I'm just glad I quit when I did. You won't realize how much better your life is until you do.
You forgot to mention the overweight DBAG facilitators. They start directly at 8 and push the team through working breaks/lunches and drives right past 5PM to finish with everyone starving at 6:30PM. Remind you of anyone hotshot?

So much bitterness on this Board. While the RCSA workshop was a very time-consuming process, we did learn a lot and created new controls, unlike what the OP is suggesting. This was one year ago. We are now going through the RCSA refresh (annual), and it is a much more scaled-down version of the initial workshop. Our team does take this process seriously and we see value in it. Can it be more streamlined? Possibly. To say this is a waste of time, I totally disagree!!!

I have yet to see a control that came out of RCSA actually control anything.
many more roles than that... it will be very pared down post Phase 2. 50-75% reduction in resources. Skeleton crews in the US (SMEs) and most of it run in I&P.
