Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Does anyone think Fiserv will survive?

It’s so hard to work for a company you don’t believe in. Does anyone think core banking divisions will survive? Everything is backed up and at a stand still, daily outages it’s like the wild Wild West.

I thought most of the DNA group was remote? Sad, that was a cool product back in the day. I wonder how many cores on the Credit Union side will go, here is my last list:

CubicsPlus - If my memory is correct the only Core to run MSSQL
OnCU - Did it ever move out of Flint where it was running on ebay hardware?
Portico - Probably still in a 3rd party datacenter, runs on IBM Z
CUSA - Non-standard database
Reliance - Non-standard database
Galaxy - Non-standard database
XP2 - DB2 on AIX - This core had good potential but someone ran the leadership out.
Cunify - Used to be run by a punk
Spectrum - Itanium what
Charlotte - Runs with Portico on IBM Z
DNA - Split with Bank but at least runs Oracle as the database
CUBE - Sunset
Advantage - Sunset

2024 revenue plan is full of figuring out how to strategically provide bad service to clients we don't want to force clients to pay the termination fees to leave…

Finxact will be pretty much like the UX….delayed for years due to lack of resources. I wouldn’t worry too much about core going away for several years.

Cleartouch will move if Frank tells them to move!!! You will fall in line.

Finxact (which doesn’t work) is the only go forward banking core. It will replace all others, so if you are supporting one of the cores, don’t bank on longevity here.

You better let JG know that you aren't going to move.

Are they moving the Data Center out of Brookfield? I believe there were a few banking products hosted there.

CBDC (Central Banking Digital Currency) will disrupt the banking industry...

They are moving Precision, Premier, and Cleartouch to Lincoln. Since Premier is already in Lincoln they will lose the fewest number of staff. They will only lose the remote employees. This is why I give Premier the greatest chance of survival. Maybe DNA will be moved to a location where DNA is already located instead of moving to Lincoln?

I thought DNA would survive over Premier? They’ve always touted it as the “go forward” core, but I hear it is falling apart.

The Premier product might survive. All other banking cores will not. (Unless they learn their lesson from Precision's death.)

Fiserv will survive, it’s just not going to look anything like it did in say 2019. The Banking division will largely be sold off, payments will carry on its all Frank cares about. Follow the money, or in this case the Bulk of the revenue
