Just keep in mind that there is no guarantee that you will not be cut in a near future head count reduction. I know 2 folks who were forced to move to Dallas in 2018 and then were let go within 6 months of arriving in Dallas.

Wave 1 Dallas, Got a new boss just before moving. 2 weeks in Dallas, told to get with legal, ki-l all my projects, they do not grow fast enough. But don't worry, you'll have a job. We just don't know doing what and for who. WTF.

Relocation was the right decision for me and my family.

All I can say for the employees that relocated is, “No guarantees expressed or implied”. Don’t wish ill will for anyone but I would have a backup plan, get all your ducks in a row.

They rebadged (only option was to quit) a bunch of us a few years ago and within a year, layoff. Beat us out of our earned severance, very small severance with the new company. They knew what they were doing, such unethical and immoral leadership. They will reap what they have sown, one day. It’s sad that executives have no consequences for their disastrous decisions and are still able to leave with a golden parachute, because THEY have a contract, they are able to ruin tens of thousands of lives without a care, criminals! Nothing but legalized theft.

"I relocated to Dallas and I want to thank everyone who declined. There are more career opportunities now than in my 23 years with the company. Appreciate yall."

Opportunities that you didn't have a chance of having because the ones being letting go have actual brains. Good luck to T if you and your kind who've been there for "23 years" doing who knows what, are the only ones left.

I understand the question, but do you really think a month is enough time to evaluate a move to a new city?

It’s too soon. These people don’t have a clue what’s going to happen to them by the end of next year.

The Atlanta plate carriers are reasonable with built in 38 pocket for afternoon walks and self defence thug capping for car jack deterrents. Good quality.

I moved to Atlanta and things have been much better than expected. I have been able to take on a couple more projects that I was able to get training on directly from other coworkers. The cost of living in Atlanta is very reasonable and the change to a new area has been good. It was a lot of work to move but has been worth it.
