20 years and waiting to see what’s gonna happen with retail. Super slow in December for the first time in my area since 2008-2009. Was part of the store closing waves in 11/2020, now I don’t even care, and being in an out of footprint area…idk. They cut employees instead of refusing bonuses on the top to try and retain good people. Idk we will see

Merry Christmas!
Kertz org (ACE) receiving RTO letters this Friday 12/1. I know cause I’m one of them - boss gave me ‘the latest update’ today.
12/15 was never a big layoff date. We used to get 60 day notice.
Those who have access to the surplus calendar, can you lay out the dates for 2024?
The last management layoff for 2023 was 11/17 off payroll 12/1. There won’t be another manager layoff until January 2024. This is mostly due to the HR systems freeze for workday. I’m not sure about bargained layoffs.
2023 surplus calendar has nothing scheduled after the 11/17 event (if there even was one).
It was posted previously. If needed, the one in Jan is scheduled for 1/22. Business case due by 12/11, rank and stack by 12/26, names to be approved 1/8.

Many of us hope to be surplussed asap.
need to get people off the books prior to 1/1. look for 14 day notices going out 12/15 followed by more announcements in january. it's like clockwork.
Look out in January when everyone comes back from vacation. I've learned to buy and pay for my Christmas presents early so I don't have bills in January with a possible job loss.
Around 12/15 usually is a big hit. Workday faq states only hires and moves are frozen. Surplusses can continue.
None. Business is migrating to Workday and there is a freeze on ePCRs as well as changes to payroll. Merry Christmas.
Unlikely. The cork will come of 2nd week of January. 4 waves which will target Business Sales, CE , Finance, and Retail. Many will be precision cuts, others will be entire groups.
