Equity awards

Anyone know what level equity awards start to be granted? Recently moved here from another bank that gave them out to everyone and the docs here say a vague “executive” level.

Correct. Up to $50k all TVC all cash. Equal and above $50k it is 80% cash and 20% RSU.

I was told this began when your base reaches a certain amount, not sure if that’s true. I started getting equity as part of the annual bonus when I made $120k per year. I think everyone should get some equity-perhaps we would have more people invested in the success of the company.

@2jmj

Totally depends on your LOB, and even more so, your manager.

I was at your level a few years ago and my bonus target was 20% (it was not explicitly written that that’s what my target was, but behind the scenes and what I actually got every year was right around that). But that level in a different LOB could be 10-15%. Tough to say and unfortunately, management has intentionally made it a mystery. Just have to wait to find out what you get in late January.

I am at the P3 level and income is right over 115k. I am a meets on performance and risk overlay. Any guess as to what my bonus should be or what folks have seen in the past.

First post is correct. Most others are wrong. Even the dude saying he used to get options is wrong. They are not options, they are shares that vest over 4 years.

There is no level where shares simply become a default part of your comp. If your annual bonus hits $50k, your entire bonus will be 80% stock, 20% cash (not just the portion of the bonus above $50k).

I am an AVP (Senior Lead title) and got exactly 50k last year (so 10 of that was in stock that vests). I’d say most AVPs do not get 50k+ bonuses, but a good chunk do. At the VP level, it is much more likely. And SVP+ people are likely well above that every year.

Post ID: @wrv+1pC6AMGp - correct, higher the bonus the higher the percentage of LTI. 4 year vesting.

first poster is correct, they simplified it a couple years back starting at 50K bonus, once you are over 50 they split the bonus into cash and rsu's. Last few years it started at 80/20. I don't know the bands but the % going to RSU increases as you earn more.

Can’t remember exactly but I think roughly the VP level. Not sure if AVP gets them. And even at the VP it’s not assured. I used to get options regularly then they stopped. Then got a some a few years ago. If you’re a favorite you might get them.

If your bonus is over $50k, a portion will be paid in stocks with a multi-year vesting schedule.
