Because people have responsibilities. What are you 5? you are going to quit because you are unhappy? how long have you been alive to know that life is not all about happiness! Us peasants deserve to suffer!

Thank you C-suite for being honest about your 1 hour of daily work, at least you will have a soft landing if they decide to “retire” you.
It's extremely difficult to make Bell money anywhere else. That's the truth! And you don't really need to work, just show up. My team is lucky to have one hour worth of work per day, it's unbelievable.
Why not quit? Because they eliminated my retirement healthcare subsidy in 2021 because they are penny-pinching unscrupulous ba----ds, so now I have to work several more years to save up for full cost health insurance.
I get a FAT paycheck every month. Doing minimal work because I built up a workflow over the years, in which I can complete my tasks 60-70% faster than my peers. I get great benefits, 401k matching, and discounts on services. I don't believe I will get compensated, let alone find another telecom job, so that's why I don't quit. Now, you tell us why. Or are you the troll that posts about those lame telecom stocks and 'Can they do that?' posts.
Well, the question the OP asked was "if you're unhappy...". Sounds like you're doing fine, so it clearly doesn't apply to you :)
I was perfectly happy at T too, to be honest, up to the point they laid me off a few months ago. I'm now happy at a different company, making more money and working with great people, although the benefits are not as great, and I have to admit, I have to do a bit more actual work :D but it's all good.
It’s too easy to stay, collect a fat check and do the absolute minimum. Why leave under those circumstances ? I won’t.
I an unhappy and unsuccessful in general. I stick around and blame AT&T.
I have three goats, get it right!
Many folks are overpaid for what they do. Also, many skillsets are unique to telecom. Some are close to retirement age and some MIGHT like what they do.
It is not that easy. Bills to pay, mouths to feed (wife or husband (or both), 2 1/2 kids, two dogs, two cats, snake, two goats, and a baby pig). Two or three car payments, utilities, medical bills, credit card payments, getting hair cuts, manis and pedis, etc.
Some, but not all of my co-workers are big dummies!
Cause changing a job is risky and stressful. Could be worse. Fear of the unknown
Cause I get paid rather well
Cause I solve interesting problems
Cause some of my coworkers are smart people I like. This will change for the worse as people are forced out

“I get a FAT paycheck every month.” = toolbag
Why would I quit when I can wait for severance? 6 months of pay is better than nothing, I can continue to collect my salary until they tap me on the shoulder, I have benefits, and contribute to my 401k/pension. Not rocket science.
Because I am not a p@ssy. If you stick things out in life you win.
Planning on it. Can’t leave until I find something else. Job market is pretty tight right now. I’ve been applying to things though.
gca+1pB21owq You are my spirit animal
Because I know I can't get a better job than AT&T. Complaining is all I got.
You know why….you KNOW WHY!
show me the money
Most have no realistic external employment options.
I more or less did quit. I basically get paid to watch movies now.
I would guess many liked their job until all this RTO, Layoff, reapply for your job, collaborate, leave or you loose your bridge insurance cr-p started. Whose fault is that? Just saying.
