How’s it working out for SAG-AFTRA?
High earning stars offering to pour millions in to keep the strike going after studio walked away. How long can you holdout with pennies on the dollar that union pays while you’re walking picket line

Inflation should hurt everyone, everywhere but corporate profits are at record highs.

"Inflation is the end result of tax breaks to the upper class who never trickle down to the rest of society or contribute in a meaningful way."

Uhh, no. Inflation is the result of the government printing trillions of dollars and dumping it into the economy, debasing the currency. Remember the "free money" during COVID? Yeah, turns out that your parents were right when they said "there's no free lunch". There's been many times in history when reducing taxes on "the rich" has been followed by lower inflation, not higher. Look at the 80s. Not saying there is a direct correlation there, just pointing out that tax breaks don't cause inflation. Government spending, especially a massive misappropriation of funds, can though. This is common sense. The more unearned $ you dump on a group of people, the more they can and will spend on the same stuff.

Collective bargaining is the only defense that the average worker has from the exploitation of corporations and billionaire investors. Government has failed us. They’re bought and paid for. Inflation is the end result of tax breaks to the upper class who never trickle down to the rest of society or contribute in a meaningful way. Time to take back the well, or shut off the faucet.✊🏼

As much as I hate unions, and I do hate them, if they are willing to fight for WFH as a means of cutting costs and keeping jobs onshore, I'll listen. If they are RTO ball garglers I have no use for them.

@1enf way to pivot from your talking point of unions only making their leaders rich to insulting the people who see the value in them. You must be a lot of fun at holiday gatherings.

@1bqu+1p9706mB If you can’t afford to feed your family and provide for you and yours what are you doing wrong?

That is an absolutely serious question. Why do you need a Union to gift you this magical life?

Peddle your union garbage elsewhere. Or is the union due free? Thought so, only those in the union upper will get rich. You are worse than the worst management in any of the companies you claim to improve.

Wells Fargo has a department dedicated to fighting unions. Clearly they are on this forum too as nearly every post in this thread is from their anti-union department spewing insults and nonsense. This shows us how scared Wells Fargo is of their own employees having any power.

WF is a member of multiple "trade groups", aka lobbyists, and spends a sizable chunk on their PAC and other politcal organizations.

Heaven forbid the employees should have a group of their own.

Ignore the WF shills who use FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt) to scare you away from unions.

Those folks who want to go back to the good old days, usually meaning the 1950's, are talking about a time when union membership was 30% of the country and the middle class was growing.

Since 1980 and the B-movie actor, the wealth of America has been siphoned off by the very wealthy.

Or, sure, be a mouse, and let the anonymous guy on a layoff website chase you away from a better life for you and your family.

Also, Wells provides great benefits and now provides great flexibility if you went to hybrid from 5 days in office.

I have a buddy who's an external recruiter and always gives me a hard time in jest because I have so many PTO days.

You lost me at “humane workloads”. I know WF is awful but come on…you act like the abandoned puppy dogs in the SPCA commercials.

Have you ever applied at another bank, WF pays the most compared to the top 4 banks. The unions is what will bring down everyone’s wages and healthcare benefits. Union is the end of the great pay, not the beginning!
