Thread regarding PNC layoffs

How did they chose?

Does anyone have any insight as to how they chose who was being let go? It doesn’t seem that managers had a say. It seems almost random?

I am friends with a manager that had someone let go, she had no idea that her employee got laid off until the employee reached out to her. She reached out to her director and they did not know about it either. It looks like it was left up to Sr Group Managers who are so far above the daily job they do not know anything about the teams.

The funny thing is that my manager is asking for me to have extended access to Pnc systems. I already put out 2 fires on Monday. If I was so redundant, somebody else should be helping. I'm a bit annoyed about the whole thing.

It did outline how it was chosen in the package. If your need for business didn’t align with that PNC needed or based off of you were underperforming

Managers were asked to give names. I don't know the criteria but I do know that I was one of the lowest paid C1s on my team

In my area, anyone making over 80k was laid off. They kept the lower paid people. Sadly everyone who was saved is super green. Its going to be a nightmare for those still employed to fill the knowledge gap.
