Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

ERG Groups

One of the worst use of company time and resources. I thought we had a cash flow problem.

ERGs = employees that spend more time on their useless ERG event planning parties vs actually doing any work that generates revenue. They are stealing from AT&T and have a negative impact on productivity.

The “powers that be” absolutely do NOT want any iota of unity. This is why they incessantly foment division.

You are correct, Woke, DEI, non-inclusive ERG’s do have a discriminatory effect. According to some, that’s how one should eliminate discrimination and bias, by creating discriminatory and bias policies in their favor. Some people are against discrimination until it’s for them, give me a break, discrimination, bias, racism is wrong for all.

“These have a single purpose. To divide the employees into groups by race and gender and every other woke label to reduce trust and cohesiveness. This reduces the chance of labor organizing and unionization. They want you divided and miserable.”

Sounds like the current White House

ERGs are a great way to collaborate. You should find a group of interest and get involved.

This is not something made up. It is part of DE&I, search the insider page.

Forgive me if I’m not a fan of ESG’s , they divide people by race, gender, etc.. and leave others out. Even though they say we are all equally the same and anyone can join theirs or start your own. Not true, try starting or joining one when you don’t fit their named categories, I don’t fit any of them. They aren’t all inclusive of the companies demographics.

I’m told a young, poor Appalachian, no college, straight, white male doesn't count because I have so much privilege. I’ve never seen it when I was hungry, parents couldn’t find work after being laid off from coal mines shut down, lived in an old trailer, was cold thru winters from little to no heat, always scared from addicts and crime that were common in my area, could go on and on. Don’t want pity, just an opportunity like everyone else for a better life, quit discriminating based on race and gender. Everyone matters!

Sounds like you need to revisit your learning continuum if you think Employee Groups somehow put a strain on Free Cash Flow.

We have a cash flow problem, it’s all flowing to the C-suite and investors. Employees be damned.

ask around at all of the remote teams that are now traveling on a monthly basis to Atlanta and Dallas to work from a drop in location if the company has a cash flow problem.
10 to 15 air fair, mealls, and rooms could pay for relocation packages.
Just saying
