Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Healthcare enrollment

What have former employees found to be the best comprehensive option for healthcare after a layoff, for single and family situations? Advice on dental and vision?

  1. Cobra
  2. Healthcare.gov/Marketplace
  3. Private
  4. Working Spouse’s, if applicable

For AT&T Open Enrollment, who is the 2024 medical insurance provider by state? We are in Alabama and currently have Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois for 2023 coverage. Can't find that info yet in Open Enrollment website. Thought others might be interested in their states as well.

There's a FB group called "SWBT, SBC, AT&T RETIREES" where this is discussed constantly. You're going to find a lot more retirees there than on a layoff site.

Healthcare.gov rates depend on what state you live in & some states have very good low-cost plans with coverage better than what T's been making us pay through the nose for.

Don't be fooled by dental/vision coverage. It's cheaper to pay out of pocket as these services are rendered. Waste of cash to pay monthly for plans you only use a few times per year.

Don't do either one, reach out to my broker Zach Young he saved us a ton of money! Like $400 something less than the marketplace and still a major PPO! 4075484178, Tell him James sent ya haha

I found better coverage, deductible and out of pocket in the marketplace, pay more though.
