Hard to believe I’ve yet to hear of even single person that was even spoken to about not coming in…

They want more people to think it’s a hoax and not go in. Then they can get rid of more people without severance.
you should all protest and not go in to the office and see what happens :)
This will probably fall under the COBC checkbox on appraisals. If so it will affect bonus eligibility and payouts.
Not a bluff for those located 600 miles from a hub.
I've been told three dates in November, and that I'll get my papers with 5-7 days notice ahead of that. Only other info in writing so far is the original Legg memo and the Aug 15 Wave 1 direct email. That's it. Everything else is verbal, but my chain-of-command considers this real. I'm training my replacements (when I'm not writing a comment on the Layoff on a non-cou).
Terminology note: Now I return to work. Here in my home office. The "correct term" that's becoming accepted at large both in and outside is "return to office" or RTO.
"Return to work" is an insult.
"....and that embarrassingly bad LwD series."
Remember Workforce 2020? They shoved that training down our throats and then suddenly it was no longer required because they realized people were spending more time on that stupid training than on their actual work.
That, and Nano-degrees.....

“I go in on Friday and see dozens of people come in, swipe their badge, and leave within 5 minutes.”

“ There is a mole in every office.”
True dat! I’m a victim! The mole reported my daily arrival times, whether early or late.
In LENOX, our group has been told that company holidays and PTO count as a day in the office. However, when you take PTO, you still show up on the list. Accountability varies from group to group. I go in on Friday and see dozens of people come in, swipe their badge, and leave within 5 minutes.
"It is important for leadership to have you Return to Work (RTW). Return to Office is not the correct term."
You are a buffoon, we all know who you are, and nobody likes you.
I thought RTO was all about collaboration, no? A couple months in and "collaboration" is absent from employee communications and only mentioned as a joke when 1 or more people are in the same area.
It's clear this is and always was a new way for them to keep score of meaningless, non-productive things -- just like their threats around compliance training and that embarrassingly bad LwD series.
The only silver lining here that I can see from my 3X office days is that the L3s+ who are stuck on the floors are absolutely miserable.
Well, seems like upper management is bored if they have time to check the st..pid reports. This is probably the only thing they can do. And T is paying them big bucks for that. No wonder T is sinking ship. They call it innovation.

“ We have a very pretty girl on our team. She is and has been non-compliant with the RTO mandate. The bosses will not say word one and continue to treat her like a beauty queen. Very, very anxious to see how this plays out. Something tells me she will never be held accountable.”
Awwwww are you talking about me? 😍 thank you honey
Op here.
Like I said, not a single person has been let go for failure to RTO. They may be trying to monitor it half a-s, but they haven’t done anything about it.
“ This RTO sh1t is not going to last.”
I wish but I don’t think so. First this seems like their passion project so I doubt they will admit to any mistakes any time soon.
Second, at least in my location the complex is really dead even with AT&T back in the building. The corporate real estate titans are desperate to get people back in their bland glass boxes and you can bet they are putting the heat on the likes of Stankey to not back down.
Just “comply” for now. I agree it’s a joke! But don’t let the Stink and his clan win by giving them a “valid” reason to lay you off without severance because you’re not “working” in the moldy stinky dump so called office. Don’t let them win. This RTO sh1t is not going to last.

Does anyone know if all locations that have started RTO are being tracked at this time? I heard that the Atlanta report was a mess....not sure about Dallas. I heard the NJ report was also a mess. Curious if they've been straightened out yet?
I know it’s being tracked in my workgroup. Our boss shows us the report every week on the staff call. We are at 100% compliant so no action has ever been needed.
I've seen the report on my Manager's screen. It has a Where We Work splash screen. Though you may not have been tagged, L3s are being asked to track it, and report up to L4.
People believe what they want. The truth is they didn’t say please they said it’s required.

Our Managers are acting like babies on here. No wonder I reputation has gone in the dump. I had no idea our Managers were so ignorant as to not follow orders.
RTO is not a drill.
This is not a drill.
It's a tool like a hammer that will be used to pound nails down. There's way too much reminding and follow up around this topic for it to be a guideline or suggestion.
NEO VP Luong sent an email out to his entire group today, reiterating the need for "3 to 5" times per week, and clarification on the oft asked "does my PTO count as in an office day or not" question.
To which his answer is " ...no. If you are not in the office, then you are not in office".
He couched that somewhat by also stating the old familiar, "...you should discuss with your supervisor..." caveat.
So, as always, clear as mud. Even after clarification.
I'd take it to read that you better be in at least 3x per week, even if you have a PTO day or a Holiday. Unless your supervisor really likes you.
those of you still angry about this, and wanting to believe there is no monitoring, and not complying...downvoting everyone that points out that there is in fact monitoring, and reports are being reviewed. ..your downvote doesn't change that. You understand that, right? Wake up.
(rolls dice)
They can put on top of the next surplus. They don't have to tell you why. Remember who really controls this situation. Who pays who. It could be that your more valuable than everyone else. If not, decide how well you can manage without this job.
It’s game theory. You can bet that they won’t do anything about it or that they will. I respect both positions.
There is a mole in every office.
5 days a week or they let us know
Terminations for cause are coming.
Rate of RTO compliance is 34%. Surprised it's that high!
My manger spoke to me about not complying a specific week. At that time there was an issue with badge reader in the office. That is a clear indication some level of monitoring is in place, at least for my org.
Our Director is sending out a score card weekly to Area managers and they care covering compliance weekly.
Sure, it’s your company, be noncompliant and do what you want. See how that works out for you.
My boss told me that I'm a top 1 percenter. I am not complying with RTO, just like Leo DiCaprio, catch me if you can. I like my chances, this company has never successfully managed anything. What makes you think they can manage RTO successfully? Again, I like my chances!
A swipe isn’t the only tell, they can also track if you logged on the company ethernet, server or router at work. There are work arounds but I wouldn’t put my job in jeopardy. Don’t be surprised when you get the email or call that you have two weeks left on payroll if you aren’t in compliance. They are compiling a list of noncompliance and planning for replacements if needed.
OP is someone that is not coming in, and trying to reassure themselves.
You're in for a rude awakening. Be prepared to discuss on your Quantum year end, where the non-compliance will be documented.
