Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Bank Jobs

I got laid off from mortgage. Is going to work for the bank a good move? Was a processor now looking at a banker job for 20 k less pay. No other jobs in my market except bankers and tellers

Biden is destroying the entire industry. Very difficult to navigate and find a good career right now.

don't forget the $ you'll need to spend on a new wardrobe of suit and ties, the branch is where most go to dye

Have to weigh your options. This market is so weird right now pending on your severance, you may want to ride it out and see what happens

Best of luck either way

First, I am sorry you were laid off. I hope you find a great fit and paid accordingly. The bankers are in a unique situation from a salary position. If you can get licensed you will have a 10-12 k starting salary bump from personal.

Additionally the incentive plan they are testing is pretty lucrative compared to current model. An average banker can easily add 3-5 k per quarter from incentive when new incentive plan launches.
