Its selling for under book. Makes more sense to liquidate the place. No more tax revenue for San Fran, regulators fired, just create a giant economic mess with 230,000 out of work. If that's what our corrupt gov't wants, i say go for it. Stop torturing all these people year on end.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. During the 2008 Global Recession, many large banks unexpectedly failed and they were later bought by other banks. It is arrogant to think that Wells Fargo alone could destroy the global economy. This bank is not even accredited by the BBB, and restricted from conducting certain businesses. This toxic bank is useless, it only knows how to create problems. The world would be better off if Wells Fargo ceases to exist and be bought by another bank. The only variable is that Wells Fargo might have to be broken up into smaller pieces first before it gets purchased.
Selling off the entire bank or retail portion would be an absolute disaster for both the economy and as an employee.
CS being shown the door would welcomed.
No way would the government let that happen. If anything parts may be sold off, but not retail banking. Maybe WIM, but doubt that also.
They’re working on it.
