Remember, actual headcount numbers are not that meaningful. If 500 L1s are laid off, and we hire 200 customer service reps, and 300 new managers in growth areas, the net change is ZERO. What is a more meaningful number is yearly salary expense (wages, benefits, etc) which should be decreasing. The company is still hiring. WebPhone only counts bodies (they removed the level of each EE ages ago) and titles are not meaningful (so many vanity titles) since the actual HR Job title is not displayed.

Interest in HC doesn’t make you a troll. It educates you to the depth of cuts outside your silo. Would you rather ask leadership about cuts everywhere? I’m sure the answer would be more muddied than someone just posting here.
Headcount is only a guide to determine scale of surplus. During Sambar town hall a guy from talent and development stated T hires 30k-40k employees per year.
I think more are due off payroll this Friday. Heard of several that got notice last week.

Any active EE with access to WepPhone can run this online report. You can filter out the NPW and LOAs. Easy instructions are all in the drop down menus. My local CWA rep used to run this report all the time to track new hires and attrition in our organization. Appears Trolls or non-employees want to track the number.
