Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Non Hubs

I've have viewed posts speculating on certain locations such as Glen Allen, Virginia. Has there been any information around Concord California or Las Vegas locations?

Right, except for the move at your own expense part. In the vast majority of cases they aren't offering that as an option, which means it's not a location strategy at all, it's a domestic employee genocide strategy.

Makes total sense. They have dragged their feet for way too long on this hub vs non-hub dialogue.

Last I heard (about 2 months ago), Location Strategy is back in full swing with anticipated completion at end of 2025. Non Hub locations will be closed and you either move at your own expense or get a severance. Those with HR accommodations to be remote, if not in a hub city will also be cut.

Lots of talk about SF. Is Concord (East Bay) at risk?

San Francisco and LV are specialty markets meaning they aren't closing them down, but aren't hiring or backfilling there either

Non hubs are toast. I would absolutely love it it everyone in a non hub all found another job tomorrow and quit simultaneously. Would stink for the coworkers who would get hammered with the extra workload and for the customers we serve but it’s what HY deserves

Neighborhood/ open seating = major anticipated downsizing. Same goes for remote workers.

Don’t be naive and turn on your critical thinking.

Wells Fargo is doing everything possible to drive up attrition.

Look at job postings in those cities. If there aren’t any or there are only a handful of part time teller positions posted, then you may have an answer.
