WF has some leadership positions that do not require thinking, but it costs a lot of money to retain those people. AI should replace those people to cut the company's expense.
AI is just the latest phase of the industrial revolution. When powered machines were mass produced in the late 1800s people were terrified 90% of people would be permanently unemployed because they were replaced by machines.

Now in the early 2000s people are freaking out that 90% of jobs will be replaced by AI. We've been through this at least twice already, if not more. Every time a new tech comes out, it doesn't put everyone out of work, it just shifts the human labor elsewhere.
This is just buzz word bs and nothing short of click bait. AI replacing actual jobs is 30 years off.
I've had 8 different job roles at WF, the only one that actually required thinking was recently automated. No idea why the others aren't, yet. In the office, WFH, didn't matter. The vast majority of work is just shifting bits.
