There are still so many managers with small groups of employees . Managers have to be next
Definitely wabbit hunting season for sure. I am part of this current surplus (notice given 6/25/24 and last day on payroll 7/09/24) and was on surplus call to review Q&A with those affected and there were over 250 managers on call from L3 to L1 departments..
Tomorrow, 6/25/2024!
Whoever mentioned June 2024 was correct; our department just announced another surplus. It's sick to my stomach how AT&T treats its employees.
In Ohio will probably be in July of this year... Ohio is deregulating the copper and AT&T will probably stop repairing it and will no longer need cable repair technicians. So, yes, I believe that there will be a big layoff around that time...
I don't think anyone has any real facts. Common sense says next one is Sept then another in Dec but noone actually knows anything. The very higher ups keep everything a secret
It's going to H3LL in a hand basket, isn't it ?
Obviously, no one knows when and how many. It's continuous
You had me at, in the west, not so much with Californian. That’s become a derogatory term for most people, it is a beautiful state, policies not so much.
there are layoffs every quarter for union, so sep 15th and dec 15th there will be notices
Not in the west. It's a good time to be a Californian!
The yearly Merry Christmas and Happy New Year layoff is coming, the Grinch is alive and well!
there are layoffs every quarter for union, so sep 15th and dec 15th there will be notices
for management, well depending on response to rto letters, there could be one before year end
“ Yes sure. AI will do the physical work.”
Nope, contractors will do that as contracts expire….
it has been heard that next year's strike will be a cover-up for the massive layoffs that are going to happen to union jobs. the strike will be an effort for cwa to save face to union members but in reality, att will have won because of the massive layoffs to union jobs. stop spending and start saving.
If their is a strike next year AI will do the work.
Yes sure. AI will do the physical work.
there's one in Sept, Oct, Nov...all timed around 2nd monthly pay period, off payroll 2 weeks later, thanks for playing
It wouldn’t feel like Christmas without an AT&T layoff.
If their is a strike next year AI will do the work.
"Nope. Sept 22 is the next round and then another in Oct and one more in November"
People, these a ripples within Wave 1.
I know at least one dept is being told to load expenses on the 4th quarter that are for all of 2024. Based on this fact alone I predict they’ll be paying the largest severance in the 4th quarter.
Much laughter.
Don't be silly. There's going to be a big long strike next year. The company will need you all to gear up and show us craft people how to do our job the right way.
Nope. Sept 22 is the next round and then another in Oct and one more in November
So this wave is weekly until then and wave 2 is the next big one? Haven't seen the 2024 requirements yet.
Practically every week.

No. Layoffs are non-stop. Literally almost every week some business unit or subset is letting people go. Some weeks just have more people.
October
Nope, October 23
