My guess is October 3rd for next round of layoffs in WA County. Heard that the OPS Director will be visiting then.
October 3rd may turn out to be the next big day. It’s Tuesday after payday and +60 days falls before 12/15 so Charlie can yank the 401k match as his icing on the cake.
This is one of the only times that WF managed to trigger WARN with the layoffs, which seems to be confirmation that August was a much bigger layoff month than any before it. Previously the company stayed under the 50 per site which triggers WARN by just spreading the layoffs all around the US.
We saw in the two main August layoff threads that there were significant layoffs all around the country, but only the Florida and Oregon ones managed to trigger WARN. I saw someone estimate that previously the company was doing 500 per cycle (layoff cycles are aligned to the payroll cycles every two weeks) but that August was going to be about 1000 per cycle.
It appears that may have been pretty spot on.
Listen to @klm+1onf3j7b. These are the ones that already happened last week. It checks out: diff between 8/21/2023 and 10/20/2023 is 60 days. WF doesn’t announce anything until after it happens. There will be a red wedding in October to cull the rest and so Charlie’s 2023 numbers are up by end of December. They are closing Oregon back office operations. Anyone who thinks “But my job is essential” is kidding themselves. Happy Holidays everyone.

316 people from one location is significant. Sounds like the 300 or so that get laid off every Tuesday, but there is always some neanderthal on here who claims its made up.

...because it's the complete opposite of reality. They try very hard to make sure they don't retain any of their victims.
This article is referring to the event that happened last week. They filed the WARN notice today and the notice period ends in October. But there will definitely be more.
