Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

the article and author, Ray Smith, only mentions one way in which employers are "quiet quitting" -- that is role elimination/job reassignment. I believe Wells has been far more creative and has done the following methods of "quiet cutting". These are:
Stack ranking, non360 performance review, bonus reduction, RTO, "magic radius" hub targeting strategy, new title assignment, assigning you to be offshore workers babysitters, and tech reduction. All of these methods are designed to make Wells Fargo an intolerable place to work causing many to quit rather than to "quietly quit" waiting for severance.

Except they aren't firing people for their actual performance, they're firing at random. My department lost 4 and each was in the middle of significant projects doing real work. Work that now falls on the remaining survivors where were also just as busy already.

If employees are doing quiet quitting then they can do quiet cutting. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander. Can’t expect them to give you your package when you don’t work.

Just a matter of time before they start intentionally switching LOB hubs, telling people that they have to move half way across the country to keep their job. Wait for the vast majority to quit, then quietly allow their old hub as a hiring location. No severances or Warn notices either.

Pretty dirty. But at least Wells isn't the only one. Just like offshoring jobs. Until someone changes the laws or someone gets sued, nothing will change
