In past AMAs these core Market and key specialty market terms keep coming up. I wish they could have a list of these markets instead of keeping it hush hush and broadly referring to them. Me, I'd like to know if my location is not one so I can plan my future. Whether I stay or move. I know these locations are not necessarily "safer" but would like to know if we are on the list or not. Anyways, anyone happen to have any idea which locations they may be referring to? I'm in Sioux Falls and don't have high hopes for ours...

CA is a specialty market where we'll keep people but won't hire there. NYC needs special approval to hire, but it's a core market. SLC is also a core market.
It literally depends on your LOB. I recently asked my manager for a list and was provided a PDF. I was shocked to see locations such as Utah but no CA or NYC.
They can and have changed hub locations. Beware!
Wake Up Call --- The bank is in a major decline on the way to failure hub or no hub.
ask your manager, they should know
I’ve seen the list for CSBB. Core markets common to every LOB: Charlotte, DFW, Des Moines, Minneapolis, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, San Antonio, St Louis. The specialty markets depend on LOB. For CSBB: Atlanta, LA, Miami, NYC, Philly, Raleigh, SF, Sioux Falls (there ya go!).
A hub doesn’t mean you won’t get laid off.
Be very careful as we had one person on my team moved to Charlotte only to be laid off a month later. He thought by doing this move he would be safe.
Depends on your OC/LOB
Boston, New York, San Francisco, Philly, and Chicago are a few.
