Layoffs are never ideal. But, life must go on. The entire company can't be in mourning or overly modest every time someone is laid off.
One must compartmentalize to be successful. One must always look forward not backward.
That's my advice for happiness.
Your only other option is to complain and be miserable, but not actually do anything about it (which in turn will just make you more miserable). That's not a good feeling. Best to accept and move on.
(Actually, it's best to act - to do something about one's gripe. But almost no one does anymore. Complaining about how someone else isn't doing something about your complaint is so much easier.)
