Any insight on the accuracy of the role/title mapping below? I’m a P4 and VP, looks like no change? M1 as Sr AVP seems a bit much imo
P1- Analyst
P2- Assistant VP
P3- Senior Assistant VP
P4- VP
P5- Executive Director
M1- Senior Assistant VP
M2- VP
M3- Executive Director

In the corporate world, title is everything. Titles bring power, authority and money. You little staff employees at the bottom of the food chain have no power, no authority, and very little amount of money. LOL
Let me repeat. P5 is aligned to M1 not M3.
This thread is comical. Like this matters at all.
The advantage to M3 vs P5 is, of course, a P5 can still report to an M3, and that is actually quite common. So you can always expect a M3 will get paid more, just like a M2 will have a leg up on a P4.
This will be a good change for a P5 especially though, being able to use a corporate title vs a ridiculous title like senior lead analyst. If you can't make the jump to mgr here, just use the title to go elsewhere.
Worthless titles. They don't get you a raise and they sure as sh*t don't mean your job is safe from India.

doubt P6 gets MD, but I guess it might be possible. In CIB, MD is ver senior and is voted on by Execs. SVP looks to be higher than Exec Dir. Used to be that Dir. and SVP were the same, at least in the old Corp. Banking days. In CIB, VP and MD will be the most used with Exec Dir. being used sparingly.
P5 would probably be SVP
P6 MD

A P5 is a very senior level role and aligns with a M3. I know b/c I was a M3 and took a lateral to a P5 to get out of managing people. A P6 is a true SME and aligns with a M4.

You guys are out of control. P5 aligns to associate manager M1. No clue what you are talking about!!! P6 aligns with M2. I bet P5 gets VP or if your management team wants to play games at AVP at P5.
I’m a P5 and have held the Dir. corp title for years, have been told I will be exec dir. Kind of meaningless, but oh well
