imagine what att uverse could of been if they put all the money they used to buy dtv.
Everyone would of been better off and they could of kept a lot of employees.
sure they stole the interface but if they could of gave their code changes back to the open source community and the interface could of taken off because the open source could of added value to the interface.
It would of made the uverse one of a kind and people wanting the service.
why they bought dtv and launched one satellite and then quit launching them is beyond me.
how miuch fiber to rural locations could they have laid with that money and then set people up with uverse.
if uverse was open source they would of dominated the market and run peoples services the way Linux runs the cloud.
I kept telling my management all the while uverse was being implemented but it just got laughed at and/or crickets.
main reason why I left the company is it is ran by id--ts and could care less what they sell to the customer. just as long as they get their bonuses and write junk like uam to make them look like they are innovating.
that is what happens when you have zombie leaders in companies and government.
