“ Well my bonus was 20% under DTV, they slowly lowered it to 11% over a period of 5 years, while telling me I was going to get promoted to Principal... well i got tired of waiting and now my bonus is 25% with another company.”

Same. Severance from T plus $50k in stock with new company and a leadership that is more than competent. Forced RTO/move to Dallas was the best thing that happened. Sorry to everybody else on a stinking ship. We were not doing great things while at T.

The bonus is part of our compensation packages, and it would require an agreement between employer and employee to change

Never, I mean never, tell Stankey he can't do something. You will live to regret it. Stankey doesn't play, he likes a good challenge. While I agree he usually always loses, if provoked, he will do whatever he needs to do to prove you wrong, baring no expense.

SBC aka T has in fact lowered the annual bonus. Happened quite a while ago. Senior technical titles were 11%? and they lowered to 10%.
The other year, select technical IT titles had their bonus raised by 1% as I recall.

So, they can absolutely lower it, when they like, or flat out eliminate the bonus.

If they want to go through a big effort, they can 'rationalize' or remap people into new titles that have a new bonus structure.

Please, don't try to tell Stankey he can't lower the percentage payout from 13% to 11%. He will lower it in spite, he has no regard for at&t employees, he wants you gone, now! Stankey is always looking for a opportunity to sc--w employees any way he can, he enjoys playing the game of take away. He needs to go, now!

Vacation days are a benefit, not part of a compensation package. Benefits can be changed, just like our healthcare coverage changes... The agreed-upon salary and bonus would require justification and an agreement to be changed. IE, if you are getting demoted based on work performance, you have to agree to the lower salary if you want to keep your job. If you don't agree, then you are no longer required to work here.

Our bonus is like 140 bucks every year because the stock hasn’t done anything for decades. It’s not even worth worrying about.

Yes!
They can and will lower the percentage payout. AT&T is in serious debt ($140B), everyone gets to help Stankey find money to throw at the debt.

They are looking to consolidate titles. Many titles have been selected and approved and given to favorites over the years — not necessarily reflective of the work.
The company is trying to level said and most likely many in management will get a new title and lower TSR (targeted salary range).
This would be L1-L4 only.
EVPs are leaving VP Level 5s alone because of their friendships and drinking their koolaid through PowerPoint slides with “spun” numbers on how they are saving.
No exec follows it all through or will stoop down to hear it from the actual workers.
The best thing SVPs and EVPs can do is conduct skip skip levels and hear the truth!

You think you have a contract?
Union folk and execs have contracts

The rest of us, it’s like Vader. “I’ve altered the deal, pray I don’t alter it further”

Vacation is part of the compensation package and they had no issue taking a week of it from the olds

I don't think they could do that without changing the compensation structure and offer letters. The bonus is part of our compensation packages, and it would require an agreement between employer and employee to change.
