Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Amarillo by morning....

If you guys would've stopped calling out and taking so much e time then you guys would still have a job smh. But now I thank you because I was ready for retirement. Pension plus a severance package! Service reps will always rule!

They moved a call center a few years ago in the Atlanta area for the same reasons, mostly attendance issues. They employed a lot of younger people so callouts, tardy, being late, not calling their manager happened all the time so, the company closed shop and moved it to another state.

Can’t blame the company, they have a business to run, it’s not welfare or a government job. I’m union too but show up when scheduled, earn your pay and be professional. It makes the majority of good union employees look bad. Before someone jumps on the union employees, the same goes for non-union, laziness, poor work ethic and incompetence is in management ranks too. Seen a lot of staff (butt kissers) and upper management free loaders in my 25 years of service.

Don't spend it all in one place! You will go bankrupt before you know it!

It might be a call center. I think service rep is a grandfathered title

What is a service rep? Is that customer service?
