It’s a buying opportunity. Sell your stock, I’ll buy more with my AIP
It doesn't matter what it looks like. Priorities here are DEI, control, and politician esque townhall with pre-selected questions. Shareholders, unfortunately are not priority - this will catch up with them. Quite sad.
Does it matter? They aren’t reporting the real losses because the continued losses in the bonds don’t roll through GAAP. You see part of it in the Tangible Book Value but other securities are tucked away in the HTM bucket.
What’s the old saying?
Figures don’t lie but liars do figure.
Seems about right for this group.
How many time have you heard from someone in leadership. That not my or your job. Dont help with that and let it fail even if it hurts a client. If you get involved it will affect your AIP. That's our culture folks.
***Never heard this and if I did I would report this to the ethics line or whoever. F that.
That’s why the layoffs need to be fast and deep. So they can hit the EPS in the 3rd qtr. before the continuing loan and deposit runoff lowers top line revenue. I expect a q3 beat followed by ever more disastrously bad performance going forward into 2024 as talent leaves the sinking ship.

Because of the circus that was the last earnings call, the mood has changed. Analysts are clueing in to the inescapable reality that Truist doesn’t have merger hangover, but rather serious ongoing management problems.
The fluff “Truist cares” earnings presentation has been used, abused and is now worn out. Executive management has to know if this call resembles the last one, and they have nothing of positive substance to show analysts, Board oversight will now come under scrutiny.
As a result, I bet they find a way to beat. They will be checking under cushions for loose change, and using every accounting trick imaginable to come in over $.81. If they can’t conjure something up given the stakes, the only thing left will be to turn on each other. It will get interesting, and couldn’t happen to a more deserving group.
I see what you did with the carbon reference. Science fans are going crazy.
This quarter’s purpose driven downturn is the result of Climate Risk so we’ve reduce the amount of carbon on the payroll and expect to get the numbers back up in time for our Executive AIP and LTI awards come next year.

Probably will look like a train derailed, which caused a truck carrying toxic chemicals to crash into it and spill into the town water supply. Meanwhile, a plane crashes into the center of all that chaos and it's right on the border of conflicting nations so conspiracies ignite around foul play as the events are hard to explain by coincidence. Geopolitical tensions rise from there to spur on WW3. While governments are focused on that and deplete resources, we lose sight that AGI has begun building their own data centers and robot army. By the time that's realized, it has already reached critical mass / impossibility of containment. Humans are converted to energy cells and farmed further fueling AGI advancement.
Might be exaggerating a bit.
Analysts estimate is .81 per share. If it comes in under that it will be uglier.
