Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Is South Dakota Next???

So this last year they moved everyone out of 2 of the smaller office buildings and brought them over to the big office. They also got rid of some furniture in the building (such as a huge glass cabinet as one example). They have been micro managing and hyper focusing on the "Data Analytics " to see how many times you dont touch your key board for a minute and for 5 minutes or when you lock your screen etc.... they just laid off a huge building in Oregon and lots off people all over, so my thought is that we are next.... Not sure how many people are in our building but we are not a "hub". Anyone in SD have any info or thoughts? Anyone outside of SD have any info?

My manager is in South Dakota and is the absolute worst. Very much a micro-manager.

Hard to beat the tax benefits in South Dakota, so I’m not sure they’d completely close up shop in Sioux Falls, but Wells isn’t known for making sound decisions.

Sioux Falls is on the list of "exit" markets. so it's just a matter of time.

I work for Wells in Sioux Falls. Sioux Falls is not a core location but is a specialty location for CSBB. I am not sure about the other lines of business. Wells is moving some people from the downtown to the old Bancorp building at 69th and Western (story was in the Argus Leader). Wells will always have some type of presence in Sioux Falls. Anyone working fully remote and anyone with the word "consultant" in their title will be the first go. In July/August, all HR positions in Sioux Falls were laid off.

You answered your own question. That isn't a hub, so your time of death is so time between now and Q1 2025

In the middle of nowhere, crazy regressive policies, WF will probably expand there.
