Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

I've never seen morale this low across all departments

One of the "advantages" of our RTO initiative is that it has enabled me to connect with various business units and teams. However, I've noticed a significant amount of negativity being expressed by teams outside of my own when I'm in the break room. It appears that many are anticipating the possibility of receiving a displacement severance package.

Considering the prevailing negativity and frustration, it's reasonable to question how motivated these employees will be to put in extra effort. It seems likely that they will aim to do the minimum required, as there's little incentive for them to work harder when their ultimate desire is to leave with the displacement compensation.

We've inherited challenges from JPMC and Chase (Leadership), who seem oblivious to the situation. Perhaps CS's new advisor will illuminate him and provide a necessary course correction

Don't worry, things will get worse and worse, we haven't hit the bottom yet.

Agreed, it's shockingly bad. Amazing what happens when execs hate their employees and intentionally torment them for years on end so they can get rid of people without paying severance. The domestic work force is being exterminated, one layoff at a time.

I have worked for a few different banks in the past, but WF by far is the worst of the worst, hands down.

Stock price has su-ked anyway, but as far as profits go, we earn those $20B/year, not the id--ts in Hudson Yards. Tank morale long enough and it WILL impact profits, and not in a good way.

I have been at WF for many years, but I agree, I've never seen morale this low either. I don't want to be with this company anymore, but I am not leaving until I get my severance package.

As someone whose been in 5 different LOBs over the span of 15 years, and also being within consumer/sales at the height of the scandal… I can easily say this is by far the lowest morale has ever been. I think it hit the point of no return within the last year IMO.

At some point the mo--ns in Hudson Yards will realize what a massive risk it is to shove people in buildings. Masses of disgruntled people together is how you get a union, or worse. They love to control information and keep people in the dark. Sorry Charlie, but everything you want kept on the downlow is being talked about in offices, and not in the way you want it to be. It won't end well, just like all the rest of their stupid ideas.

@OP+1oJgmpQZ RTO su-ks. NO ONE wants to be in an office sitting in meetings that can be done at home! I'm a very social person, tho none of my team is in my city.
If I was customer facing, it would be a no brainer to RTO.
Also, since the pandemic--lots changed! We proved the bank didn't crumble wfh!
