14 so far from my group. Been with wells for over a decade. I am a wfh employee due to a disability. All of us that were let go were wfh employees. Not completely unexpected but it’s a kick in the pants for sure.

Disabled enough to make a post of this non-accessible website right?
Laid off today too after over a decade, also wfh due to disability. I am sorry this happened to you too.
What group were you with ?
Agreed. The "group" that Hudson Yard is targeting is US workers generally. They want us all gone. Remote, location strat, RTO, etc. is all just different rungs on the same ladder. Eventually they'll get rid of all of us.
SORM not affected this go around!
How are waiver-ed WFH (I wont' call them medical because it can be any kind of mix) be targeted if ENTIRE teams are being let go? Trick question, they aren't. But several folks in this thread alone don't seem to grasp that. I know of more than 10 WFH's specifically on medical waivers who haven't been cut in groups who have lost in-office workers.
How does the victim mentality spread to those who haven't even been victimized? This is why Wells Fargo is going places!
@cmm+1oG9wmzh Agree they shouldn't be a protected class, but they shouldn't be targeted either. Appears these people with approved medical accommodations in the new RTO environment were targeted.
Lots of people have been trying to leave, but the job market is tough right now. Lots of banks and other companies are doing lay offs so there is a lot of competition for fewer jobs. The advice to get out isn’t helpful when there’s no where to go. Don’t you think we would leave if we could?
it'd be one thing if only one or two people with med accommodations got displaced, but when it's a whole team, whether your on leave, disability or not they can do it. having an accomodation does not make you a protected class.
Godspeed. I hope you get a good severance and find a new gig quickly.
Sorry to hear it, I had 1 person on my scrum team and my fellow sm had 2. tech manager was not happy but didn't have a choice.
Ah, I see you said you're in a tech role. So much for what TK said in her last AMA about the medical accommodations being honored and not a target for getting remote workforce out.
Totally thought she was being honest there /sarcasm
Best of luck OP. Better things will come your way soon!
anyone from West coast yet?
Yep wfh displaced in august due to “location”
“ they have no details or location because it is not true.”
It’s very much true. I don’t want to say the group because I am under 60 days followed by severance and want to make sure nothing is effected. I have zero reason to get on a layoff group and claim I was let go for funsies.
Group is based out of Charlotte. Tech based role.
@plq+1oG9wmzh It feels (no data to support) like there is some hesitancy to layoff people on the west coast, esp California. Either there is some sort of employment law snafus or WF has an honest to goodness reason (yeah right).
they have no details or location because it is not true.
sorry to hear this...... unfortunately remote accommodations are no longer being honored. Can you share your region and LOB?
anyone from West coast yet?
Any details on location or general group? Sorry to hear about the layoff. Lots of folks are watching these threads to see what groups are affected.
