Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Stay Together

For those of us on the relocation meetings last week. If the majority of us say NO this plan which was hastily put together falls apart. What are they going to do? Maybe they'd still move forward but they'd have even more explaining to do with Clients. I plan on playing the long game while looking for something else.

You’re dreaming if you think they will back track on this. Prior waves of winnowing out remotes has seen low uptake of relo option, and it hasn’t changed anything. Sorry this is happening but it’s either relocate or part ways. There’s no 3rd option.

People will start leaving as they find other jobs. Once the team dwindles they'll offer retention bonuses to those left to keep the team afloat as they backfill positions in go forward locations. Once the new hires are trained, those that were kept will eventually be let go in future RIF's. It's how it's been done and will continue to happen and su-ks the most for those that decide to stay as they have to pick up the slack for the ones that left and the newbies.

People are resigning, people are leaving rather than move.

Yeah, they might regroup but they won't backtrack. Franks already got these figures post reductions in a spreadsheet that he's delighting over. This is a finances game. They don't give two sh!Ts about me, you, your aging parents, your pets, friends, or coworkers. Frank would fire his own mother if it gets him to his next bonus.

I'm glad so many are saying no, but please listen to others saying polish your resumes. And don't just polish it, use it. As someone who left on their own terms a few months ago, I can tell you that life after Frankserv is soooo much better. Don't wait around to see what these id--ts do.

This company under FB has shown not to care about their clients. The objective is clear. Cut expense at any cost even at risk of further angering our clients who have been frustrated for a while.
My advice to everyone is to update your resumes and be prepared to be let go within the next 6 months.

Everyone from my team has said no as well. We are in it for the long haul or short haul. Game on!

Everyone on my team said no, myself included. I don’t trust the company that this has become. Time to brush up the resumes and be prepared for when the time comes.

They will ultimately back track (but you’re still stuck working for people who don’t want you and won’t treat you the same as non remote, constantly looking over your shoulder for the next layoff) or they will hire your replacement, ask you to train them then let you go

I'm looking for something else, but gibbons says "we'll figure it out" when most associates say "no" to the move.
