Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Carrie T. avoids prison and you get to be laid off, what a deal!??

Years and years of abuse of consumer and employees, high pressure sales and bullying, billions in fines and an asset cap, and she gets 6 months home confinement and 120 hours of community service. It's got to be awful being confined to a staycation in your mansion for 6 months, watching The View?!

Meanwhile, all Wells employees get the ongoing fear of Chainsaw Charlie, a constant fear of layoffs, and a CFO who says publicly there is "more work to do" to reduce headcount.

This goes to show you how the game works in big banks. The rank and file always get hosed. The executives walk away with their millions after everyone else got the shaft, and you lose your jobs.

Because of what Carrie T did, so many hardworking innocent employees are getting laid off. Because of what Carrie T did, Wells Fargo had to be penalized for billions of dollars. Because of what Carrie T did, millions of customers had to suffer for ruined credit score. She still received a huge golden parachute and managed to avoid prison time. Her executive friends are trying to protect this POS because they maybe next. They say she was charged for the crime because of racism (she is white)??? What kind of corrupt company is this?

Carrie T's friends are very busy downvoting this thread. Looks like Wells Fargo still has a lot of cleanup work to do at the executive level.

I heard that Carrie's legal defense hinged on the fact that she was out sick every year when the required compliance training on fraud was being given. So Carrie claimed that she didn't know any better and that the WF Training & Development Team was at fault, not her.

Even Martha Stewart served a prison sentence, but this WF POS who committed a more serious crime got only house arrest and probation. Are you kidding me?

So CT became filthy rich with blood money, and now having a nice retirement.

Shut up, you troll! This has nothing to do with racism, we are talking about the $million fraud crime committed by the arrogant Wells Fargo executive here. Probably you are one of CT's executive friends. You guys executives have absolutely no remorse whatsoever, unbelievable!

So much hate speech toward Carrie on here. If only you people were as anti-racist and tolerant as you pretend to be at work. Had this been a black female executive you would have been screaming about how racist the system is and how she was just doing her job and how the system was rigged against her. But since she’s a blonde white lady, you are all so ready to hang her. Racist hypocrites!!!

Carrie T will keep much of her $125M exit package:

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12525995/Wells-Fargo-Carrie-Tolstedt-sentencing.html

So the house arrest means spending time in her big mansion where she has exercise rooms, entertainment rooms, jacuzzi rooms, swimming pools, big backyards, etc.

Did she just negotiate 6 months RFH (rehabilitation from home)? Doesn't everyone know We Rehabilitate Better Together?

She should be serving that sentence in a dangerous, dirty, crime-ridden prison. Force her to report to a Wells Fargo post-covid, utban blighted RTO prison for 6 months.

She'll never steal again.

I see some unbelievable disgusting comments from trolls here. They must be some of the corrupt WF executives or Carrie's friends. Because of these disgusting unethical executives, Wells Fargo is where it is now. Somehow, we need to find ways to remove these POS's from the banking industry and/or send them all to prison.

CT's defender is a typical cuckservative. "It's legal when we do it but a crime when you do."

You say "all the charges were overhyped"? What part of the "deceiving and stealing" don't you understand?

So CT was able to bank over $30MM (after clawbacks and fines) but now has to spend 6 months on house arrest and a further 6 months on probation.
Amazing, I can only imagine how hard it is for her to stay at her multi million dollar home for 6 months. I only hope she has learned her lesson.
Moral of the story is that crime does pay (as long as you are rich).
There are many other execs that should have been sentenced but I know that this type of punishment will never even give pause to the unethical leaders we have here, I wonder what we will hear they've been up to next?

Profile of a poster obsessed with CT:

  • grew up with no father
  • "some college"
  • lifelong renter
  • professional crybaby, in and out of therapists office
  • always broke, never attempting to improve their situation. It's easier to cry and complain about other people

But you deserve a raise, bonus, promotion, recognition, and job security 🙄

Without question, she should have received jail time along with all others involved with this scandal. All are responsible for the decline in or stock price and hosing all of our 401K accounts for the last 8 years. With that said, she did get hit with a $17 million civil penalty. I haven’t seen if she appealed that or not. I know the others just paid and walked away.

All the charges were overhyped. This all was an excuse for regulatory oversight. All the banks were up selling.

Wow, I missed that news. It is sickening that $$ buys a different justice. Life isn't fair and reality su-ks, but hopefully she won't be able to inflict fear on other employees at a different company again.

Wonderful news about Carrie, she is such a classy lady and a true professional. I am so glad the court realized that and gave her a second chance. It is truly what is best for her and her family. So happy for you Carrie!!!

I do not understand why the penalties for crimes go down the more money people have. She robbed more people of more money than a hundred gangbangers could in each of their lifetimes and she gets a slap on the wrist is all.
