Why is this shocking to anyone? Theft has been decriminalized in this country. Read some articles on "shrinkage" in retail. It's truly massive in scale. The fun part is, it's been intentionally set in motion by the same guys in DC that claim to 'care about the little guy'. Enjoy the inflation.
Totally ridiculous!! She should go to prison and enjoy the fruits of her crime!
Wells Fargo executives never fail to disappoint people. The worst offenders in the banking industry.
Absolutely freaking ridiculous. She should be in prison. She ruined thousands of lives and careers. Total sc-mbag.
Wells Fargo executives, the most hated bankers in America. Hated by their customers, hated by their own employees, and hated by the government. How low can they go? Sc-mbags of the earth.
Let's see. Woman, 63 years old, retired, no record.
She got 60 mil from those years running things. Paid what was it- 18 mil in fines or something. WF clawed back 60 mil or 65, whatever.
So, let's say if I embezzle money from WF, get caught, negotiate a deal and pay them a huge fine, WF claws back what I took, and I will get probation?
I don't think Vegas oddsmakers would take that bet.
I am so proud of Carrie and the way she conducted herself in court. She is such a nice lady and deserves a second chance and this is what is best for her and her family.
Wells Fargo is a hot mess. It has only itself to blame

You mean what everyone assumed would happen, happened? Yet you are surprised?
Uh oh, a redundant, obsessive post...
People could have quit
The charge was for obstructing an exam - so essentially lying to the government. I’m sure the regulators will take it in stride that she got off so easy and not be at all tougher on the bank.
Unbelievable
of course she did...and she's got enough $ she won't need to worry UGH!
The rich never pay for the evil they do.
This is disappointing. She is a savage. It was she who demanded pushing retail bankers miles beyond their capacity so that they looked for cheats and shortcuts.
Poor Martha had it worse.
what a joke. Even with clawbacks and being banned from banking, I'm sure she's plenty comfortable
My weekend is is ruined
