Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Lots of WF staff went to Truist - ugh

From the firing pan into the fire. Feel bad for many of our former colleagues who left to go to Truist. They have much less tenure at Truist, too, and it's often "last in, first out" during layoffs.

Every bad WF manager I had went to Truist. Now Truist is in trouble. Hmmm…if we could only figure out why..

@cre, went to Citi from Wells. Big pay jump. Hybrid is in effect.

It all follows PBS. At Truist, it is Mr (Bill) Rogers Neighborhood. At WF, it is Rubby Chucky. You can't make this stuff up as the saying goes.

went to Citi earlier this year … salary is a little better but many issues at this place. Hiring freeze in effect for a lot of the company, however, hybrid model looks to be solidly in place with no plans for more than 3 days in unless you want to.

Anybody moved to Bank of America, JP Morgan or Citi? Let me know how your experience has been.

@cre+1oA66KBL is spot on.

Left Wells in 2021 and have been at 2 other companies since, both culture and employee engagement are miles better than my time at Wells.

A former teammate told me about this post and so I came over to give my 2 cents. I left WF over a year ago and regardless of the potential upcoming layoffs my time at Truist has been incredible compared to the everyday abuse I was receiving at Wells Fargo.
As with any decision in life the litmus test is "would you make the same decision knowing what you know now?" And the answer is 100% yes.
My team is engaged, with candid chats in our team meetings, compared to complete silence at Wells unless called on.
There is no forced ranking of ratings, nor are evaluations based on "we feel like you should do more than the goals we assigned" otherwise you get a bad rating or just because your manager or senior leaders need people to get poor ratings.
I'm no longer embarrassed to say where I work whilst waiting to hear the next massive litigation where the company acting without ethics.
I understand why people are holding out for severance there but it just wasn't worth it to me. I wish all of you good luck.

They aren't any worse off here, where it's first in, last out. If they had stayed they'd still be Fd.
