Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

What is IHX?

What does the IHX acronym stand for?

What does this organization do and for whom? Specifically, what customer group… small, mid or enterprise?

Hub based?

If the customers cell phones are not with AT&T they show up. Love when they ask who is your wireless service provider, when they already know.

"Let’s face it, if most people (employees included) think AT&T is unethical and immoral and YOU are in any kind of sales for that company you are automatically sc-m."

Love comments like these. Non-sales people ALWAYS jealous the the highest paid people, outside if our senior executives, are sales. Hardest working people in the company.

It is hard work only on the conscience to scam as hard IHX does. This will soon end. AT&T is tidying up on the mobility sales side of the house. AT&T is discovering that the reported profits from Mobility don't actually make it to the bank.

Should be changed to IHS, In home solicitors or In home scammers. There are a few decent ones but they don’t usually last trying to meet their monthly sales goals unless they join the unscrupulous practices.

In Home Experts. I work for the retention group on the mobile side and I'll tell you this, in home Experts are nothing but trash reps. They lie to their customers to get a sale, and they make the customers call us to save their sale

They’re the people techs hate bc they actually have other employees around that see them doing jack sh-t all day looking for ways to jep jobs all day, hence the hate on this website

Correction. They are the people techs hate to see at their install. The techs have metrics to meet or they will be put on a PIP. They install, repair or don't install and repair. Simple as that
IHX has a hundred different ways defraud. It is as simple as that.
They used to be the last job of resort for sulpussed managers. Now they hire anyone that can fog a mirror. They don't last very long.

I have told customers before that if another person shows up and says they are with AT&T to tell them to kick rocks. I’m not going to be held responsible on a customer survey for the actions of these dipsh!ts. One of the IHX guys around here makes himself at home, he sits in the customers home without asking or being ask to. He props his feet up on customers furniture. He flirts with customers. I started warning the customer when I arrive what their game is.

A IHX employee told me, and I quote…….”This is the sleaziest job I have ever had”.

On some of my installs, the customer has told the IHX to f$ck off and they need to leave the premises immediately, they didn’t invite or ask them in. This was before I had a chance to advise the customer about the situation. It puts me in a bad spot that I had nothing to do with, we just work for the same company. Such a sketchy org, they make the proverbial used car salesman look good.

I wouldn’t mind if they offered to assist the customer with their internet setup. They just need to be honest with the customer upfront and ask if it would be ok for them to evaluate their devices and plans to see if they can offer them a better product/device or plans to save money.

Call BS on the jepping of jobs en mass by install techs. The techs were around decades before the illegal IHX unsolicited sales appeared on the scene. If they Jep more than 1 or 2 jobs a month they will fail on their metrics and after a few misses will be placed on PIP and if no improvement, fired.

IHX appear on majority of new installs and a lot of repairs. It’s involuntary solicitation under the guise of being there to assist the customer with their internet or phones. They gain access to the home and the customer because the customer thinks the sales manager is part of the order or repair ticket that they called in for, they aren’t aware that they are about to be up sold without their permission. The IXH sales agent tries to illegally get the customers PIN from the installation tech, without the customers permission, in order to perpetuate the scam. I tell the IHX to go fly a kite and let the customer know what is happening. I’m not going to be part of their illegal and devious sales plan.

Their real objective is to sell cell phones, plans, accessories and sometimes upscale their internet plan. Period!

Sales in ANY business is a sketchy group!

It stands for In Home Experts. Main channel is Nation Distribution, and the official titles are:
(Non-Union)
ISC: Integrated Solutions Consultant
ISM: Integrated Solutions Manager

Based primarily of a HUB location. They cover specific territories and upsell existing internet customers.

Think of it as small scale account management.

In Home Experts.

I believe their job is to sell equipment to people that already bought one service from AT&T.

Sc-mmy organization. They work out of any old sh-t building in different regions. I overhear them in the sh-t building I work from and they are absolute clowns. I would never trust them with my information.

Think of your most vulnerable older relative or your grandmother having internet installed in her house, the tech leaves and somebody else shows up to sell her 4 phone lines (whether she needs them or not) so she can talk to all of her grandchildren. Grandma needs that iPhone 14 Pro Max.
