All of the people in the area where I work in product development, who had been told they were in stretch roles awaiting promotion , were all dismissed today.
So if you know anyone in limbo, that’s probably why, they are cutting them.

Same here. Have gotten exceeds rating twice, was never on a performance plan…and then BO-M “your position is being eliminated”
Interesting. I had an incredible mid year review and was all but guaranteed I’d be promoted at the annual review. I was laid off.
